Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.  影片改編自真人真事。講述了1960年代美國黑人社團黑豹黨歷史上的真實事件，故事聚焦于Hampton之死，他于1969年被殺，死于芝加哥警察局和FBI組織的一次突襲行動。警方開了80槍，而“黑豹黨”成員一共只開了一槍，這一槍還是來自于一位成員被警方打死后的肌肉收縮。Hampton與懷孕的未婚妻正在睡覺時，頭部被近距離射殺2槍，他當晚被下了藥，根本沒聽見任何警方的動靜，死后尸體被拖進小巷中，年僅21歲。經過審訊，他的死被判定為“正當殺人”，后來在1982年，以185萬美元的賠償數額，達到了民事訴訟的庭外和解。
