本片改編自同名小說。櫻井萌（當真亞美 飾）從小體弱多病，無法上學，也沒有朋友，每天獨自度過時光。她一直有一個小小的夢想——在自己生日那天，與喜歡的人一起觀賞據說能讓戀人永遠相守的六月滿月“草莓月亮”。然而，15歲那年冬天，她被告知生命所剩無幾。                                                                      　　從醫院回家的路上，萌邂逅了命中注定的人，并下定決心進入高中就讀。入學典禮當天，她在初次見面的情況下，向同班同學佐藤日向（齋藤潤 飾）突然告白，人生第一次戀愛就此開始。終于到了共賞草莓月亮的那一天，但從那天起，萌突然從學校消失，日向再也無法聯系上她。而萌離開的真相，以及13年后傳來的秘密究竟是什么…

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
