Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 定時拍攝

　　某座住宅區，負責公寓內各項維修事務的菲恩（Matt O'Leary 飾）和約瑟（George Finn 飾）是一對窮的叮當響的好基友。某天菲恩的女友凱莉（Danielle Panabaker 飾）來到他們的住處，當得知住在隔壁的貝先生已經很長時間沒走出房門時，凱莉自告奮勇上門查看，結果卻一臉錯愕地回到二人面前。原來貝先生早已不見蹤影，房間內一面墻貼滿了以三個人為對象的拍立得照片，窗口則有一臺奇怪的機器正對著菲恩和約瑟的房間。不久后他們發現，那臺機器竟是可以拍攝到未來情景的照相機。他們發現了貝先生的尸體，然而因為照相機的原因秘藏了此事。　　無意間擁有了窺視未來的手段，年輕人們的心不知不覺躁動起來……
