羅生門
三船敏郎,京町子,森雅之,志村喬,千秋實,上田吉二郎,本間文子,加東大介羅生門，日本京都的正南門。云游和尚、砍柴人和乞丐在城門底下避雨，三人閑聊，話題開始，故事的序幕拉開：一個武士和他妻子路過荒山，遭遇了不測。妻子被侮辱，而武士慘遭殺害。慘案如何釀成？兇手、妻子、借武士亡魂來做證的女巫，都各有說法。真相只得一個，但是各人提供證詞的目的卻各有不同。為了美化自己的道德，減輕自己的罪惡，掩飾自己的過失，人人都開始敘述一個美化自己的故事版本。荒山上的慘案，成了一團撥不開看不清的迷霧。談論完畢，雨過天晴。砍柴人在羅生門旁發現一個哭泣的棄嬰。他決定收養下來，抱著嬰孩往夕陽深處走去。

好像一切都很糟糕

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
